Declan is going to be a real talker! Some cats are just more vocal; one of mine is like that, she’ll “reply” to almost anything I say! They are ALL so very adorable.
We had awful storms here this morning, missed the city where I am, but tore up the south part of the county, including the small town of Hanceville. Not sure how much damage, reporters from the paper are out now getting photos. Stay safe, there’s more storms today!

There is a bunch of random neck munching going on at our house too. I am always finding little scabs. It starts innocently enough with some face and ear cleaning but inevitably ends with neck chomping.

“Big tree down in the chicken yard, back 40 half flooded, george escaped. Caught him, now he’s hanging in the back yard. I has no internet, WOE.”
Hopefully, they sustained no further damage. The images on the news are scary. My heart goes out to everyone affected by these storms.

Just read on CNN that officials are saying that power might be out in the area for 4 or 5 days. And Nance posted on Twitter that she hasn’t heard from them yet. Hopefully, Robyn, Fred, and the critters are all safe and they get their power back on soon.
We are so concerned about all at Crooked Acres. Robyn, Fred and all the sweet animals. Prays are going out to all of Alabama. Such a heartbrake.

Even though we’ve never met, I feel like you are dear friends! Been reading you since 2000. Thank the Lord my prayers are answered. I never saw you mention a basement, just the creepy crawl-space, so I’ve been really worried for you! Guess you really must get a basement now, ASAP. Get Fred right on that.
I think it’s like Oklahoma. We don’t have basements here because they flood so badly due to all the moisture and they are too damp and moldy and so on. They could build a bomb shelter that would work as a storm shelter š

I think they have power, but not sure if it was generator or full power. They live in the next county west of me. Power is slowly coming back on. I just got mine back about an hour ago. She must have full power because she offered me food and a hot shower. LOL I almost took her up on it! I have plans for a hot shower tonight!
