Currently reading: Killing Yourself to Live, by Chuck Klosterman.
Finished late last night: Bitter is the New Black, by Jen Lancaster. I liked it a lot – I laughed out loud several times – and like I said before, I can definitely see it being turned into a movie. Recommended!

So I watched an episode of Oprah yesterday, the one with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, and I’ve gotta say, they’re a pretty cute couple. Tim must be half monkey, because he kept grooming Faith – once he brushed lint off her pants, and another time he saw a hair on her face and brushed it off. My favorite part was when they were cooking chicken and dumplings in their kitchen, and he was kneading the dough for the dumplings (“dumplins”, I guess I should say. Note for the northerners: dumplins down here are noodle-like rather than the type we’re accustomed to up there) and he said “You have to be careful, because if you knead too much, it’ll get stiff and hard”, and then he had to stop to giggle, and she got mad at him and told him to “Keep it clean.”
Giggling like that is EXACTLY something Fred would do.

Yeah, can you tell I’m really reaching for topics today? I think today’s another day where I’ll slap up cat pictures and call it an entry.
Fred, covered by cats.
The funniest part about this picture isn’t the Booger yawning – though that’s a pretty good yawn – but Sugarbutt in the background, looking up at the ceiling.
“Bleh. What the hell have I been rolling around in?”
“Bob! Damnit! Bring me some ‘nip! I’m going into withdrawal!”
“Bitch, you flash that thing at me one more time, I’ma cut you. You get me?”
An even better illustration of the lack of hair around Tommy’s mouth. It’s not quite as bare as it looks in the picture, but there’s not a whole lot of hair there.
All of today’s uploaded pictures are

2000: Okay, so I don’t have much to say today.]]>
Do you still watch Dr Phil? You never mention him anymore. I seem to have stopped watching him much myself. Not sure why.
One of these days, Bob’s gonna answer. 😉
Hee, Fred is covered in cats. He must be very comfy.
Shelly: I do still watch Dr. Phil, though sometimes I delete the show if the topic isn’t interesting to me. There was a guy trying to push his wife into a “Poly-Fidelity” situation a few weeks ago who was particularly loathesome.
It’s rare we see the Booger yawn without showing his teeth.
I think it’s really cool that the spud elected to tell you, rather than be quiet about it and let the issue go by. She risked getting in trouble to be honest! You have a cool daughter.
Just curious…..What are northern dumplins like? I did not know that they could be made differently for chicken and dumplins. Or do you fix northern dumplings for a different purpose? I am sorry the redneck in me just has to know.
That show was on today! “Poly-fidelity”?? Give me a break! Wasn’t that CONVENIENT for him???
I often wonder what happened to that doctor who had the affair with the nurse and got her pregnant. Or to that young 16 year old from a couple seasons ago that had a baby (he followed her all season) and still was a bit trampy after the baby was born. Does he do follow up shows?
I LOVE your cats. Why are they so cute and friendly? Why does my cat hide under a bed and poop on the floor?
Olivia in SC: Well, what I expected the first time we had dumplins after I’d moved down here was a more biscuit-like dumpling that sat on the top of the stew part of the meal.
Shelly: He occasionally does follow-up shows, but I don’t remember him doing one on the doctor who had the affair with the nurse, or the 16 year-olds.
Miz S: They’re only friendly to us. If a stranger walks in they’re GONE. I don’t know why your cat is a hider and an outside-the-litterbox pooper. I feel your pain, though – the long-gone Mr. Fancypants used to poop on the floor and it drove me CRAZY.
I thought Tim and Faith were cute, no fair Faith looks even prettier running around with little makeup and in her glasses!
LOL @ the car, poor spud!
i’m sorry to hear about your elevated liver enzymes. i’m going through the same thing right now and have a biopsy scheduled next week. ick. glad to know i’m not alone in the liver dept. heh. 🙂
I’m all about the books, ya know, and when I clicked on your link, “Bitter Is the New Black,” amazon dot com tells me it won’t be released until March.
What. The. Hell.
I want to be a part of your secret book club, puhleeze.
How did you get it before release date?
Thanks,
Cynthea
P.S. Hope your liquid diet is staying down OK, this whole thing seems to be quite an amazing change of lifestyle. Very brave on your part.
