Remember this creepy-ass picture from October? Reader Amy sent me another FUCKING creepy picture, a picture that just gives me the heebie-jeebies when I even think about it.
::shudder::

To wipe the horror of that image from your mind, here are some pictures of reader Stub’s (brother’s) adorable new kitten. His name is Poof (hee!) – remind you of anyone?
I think I’m starting to like little gray kitties almost as much as I like little orange kitties!

Fred keeps hinting – even outright SAYING – that he might accompany me to Maine this summer. This summer or “someday”, anyway. Not because he wants to see where I grew up and the state I love so much, and the ocean that calls to me, but because he wants to climb some damn mountain and fall off the side. When I try to pin him down on whether or not he’ll actually come to Maine this summer, he gets waffly “Oh, I didn’t SAY this summer, did I?” and I get disgusted, and I have decreed that he is no longer welcome in Maine.
“You are NOT allowed in Maine!” I informed him.
“Yes I am. You can’t keep me out of the entire state!”
Please. Who does the man think he’s dealing with?
After he bought the kayak earlier this year every time he saw the slightest puddle of water, he’d say “That’s some good kayaking water, there!” over and over and ad infinitum until I wanted to strangle him. Now, every time he sees any kind of mountain, he says “I could go climb that mountain!” And on and on.
Yesterday afternoon, he started with the “I could go to Europe and climb mountains while you’re in Maine next week!” Then he got on Expedia and started looking up ticket prices.
“We could go to Colorado this summer! We could go to France! We could fly to England and then take a hop over to France, and it would be cheaper! Let’s go to India! Let’s go to Libya! Oh! Let’s go to Honolulu!”
“Would you SHUT UP?” I begged.
He had the nerve to look wounded. “Honolulu has mountains for me, and beach for you!”
“Yes, except that YOU know and I know that we will NEVER go to Honolulu, so STOP FUCKING TRYING TO GET ME EXCITED ABOUT IT.”
Today he called and quoted me some amazing price for a 6-night stay in Cancun.
Fucker.

New movie of the week – this one is of Tubby and the Bean going at it (fighting, that is). I love the part at the end where the Bean jumps on Tubby and then gets pushed off, and Tubby’s laying there, all his legs in the air, bitching and hissing helplessly before he stomps off. Hee!
* * *
The Bean is in fine form today, picking exclusively on Miz Poo.
It might look like the Bean is getting the best of Miz Poo, but it ain’t so. (And that garbage bag is full of paper from the shredder – we don’t usually toss our garbage in the corner of the library. Really!)

Okay, that freaky-ass picture is just…freaky!
Stub! Oh man, I miss her. She isn’t journaling again, is she? Because if she is and I don’t have the URL…grrrrr!
Nope, she’s not journaling again, Nance. She asked me for some kitty advice, and I always require payment in the form of pictures! 🙂
I agree.. i’ll be forever haunted by that picture.
You can see my gray baby Magoo here if you want to get a gray cat fix. He’s prancing: http://members.shaw.ca/lizardlips/magoo1.gif
That picture is disturbing ! I feel kinda creepy when I look at it.

Robyn, Hey! Thanks for posting the pic…I got it at work and it wigged me out the entire day and then I remembered that weird photo you shared in October and thought, “Hey! I will send this to Robyn.” Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas! Oh…CUTE real kitty pics
That picture is creepy but funny, whereas the dog pic is just plane creepy. It disturbes me big time.
My man does the same thing with the taunting about places to go. Then we pretty much always end up at New Orleans because we’re Saints fans and go to see a game. Going again the day after Christmas for the final game of the season. One day I WILL get to Scotland, Ireland and England and he’ll get to Germany.
God, now I am totally creeped out. Thanks ever so!!
Hi Robyn:
I just happened to find your website and think it is the greatest!!
I’m from the Pacific Northwest and it is true… it rains here alot. I have never been to Georgia before, but I have been to Maine. My husband’s ancestor’s came from there and we did some lookin around near Ellsworth – Bar Harbor area. We also drove up around Bangor (lookin for a Steven King siting). Loved the state. One misappointment though, all those “moose crossing” signs and not a hint of any mooses! I wanted to see a damn moose out in the wild.
We did have to laugh at what you folks call mountains though. We have a view of Mt. Hood outside our window (~12,000 ft)which has snow on it year around. If your hubby wants to climb a mountain, come out West.
I hope you have a very merry christmas and a great new year!
Eu, thanks for sharing that creepy-assed pic. God, now I don’t need my appetite depressants.
And I never noticed before what a stumpy little tail the Bean has. What’s up with that?
My favorite part of the movie is right after Robyn’s favorite part. Right after Tubs is squirming on the floor on his back hissing and mehing, if you look at Stanley his little stump of a tail is wagging like a crazy thing. Everyone should check it out- it made me laugh a lot.
Chrystal – what a cutie!!
Jan – thanks, and welcome! 🙂
Dargie – we think he was born that way. I think the little stump of a tail just adds to his character, especially when he wags it.
Robyn, I just watched the Movie of the Week and I LOVE The Bean’s stumpy little tail wagging. It is soooo cute! Thanks for sharing
That pic is just plain crazy. It get the heebie Jeebies just thinking of it. Bleeehhh.
Bean is the king of stubby-taillness. Long live the Bean!
I cant find the movie 🙁
i always watch them but not link is showing for me
Uh, whoops! The movie is under the “about” section, not the “other” section. Which is an awfully odd place to put it!
That cat/human is horrifying! I will have nightmares for a week! Next time, warn a girl will ya? “WARNING: The following picture may cause fits of hysteria followed by weeks of horrific nightmares and sleeplessness. People who are pregnant, have heart conditions or back/neck problems should not view this picture”. LMAO!
Merry Christmas Robyn and Danielle too! 🙂
Nance: short update fast: Took care of dad for several years with Alzhiemer’s. (A more horrid disease has never been invented) He died Nov. 19th of stomach cancer. Currently settling estate and wondering wtf to do with myself now. Toby had knee surgery (twice) last year and is recovering well, finally. Got fat. The end.
See? No journal needed. 🙂
Well i must be blind. I am still not finding the movie anywhere
I don’t know if I’ve ever posted before but I love reading all your stuff. I just wondered why you had to put the link to the movie right beside that nasty picture so when I went to see the movie, I got creeped out again!!!
Elaine – to the right in the sidebar, under the bolded “about” title, there’s a list of links that goes: Bio, My Thyroid, Cast, Contact, FAQ, Wish List, House Tours, Movie of the Week. I might move the link in the future, but for now, that’s where it is.
Natalie – I didn’t do it on purpose, really! 🙂
Stub – I’m so sorry to hear about your father.
BC has some nice mountains- Fred would like the Grouse Grind. Come visit 🙂
I can’t believe Fred won’t go to Maine with you. I don’t really think that’s fair. You have to see his family all the time, will it really kill him to go with you to see yours?
You should tell him he’s not going to climb any mountains anywhere until he goes with you to Maine.
Be strong! 😉
First let me say, I love your journal and especially pictures of Tubby. Second, those bastards at Quick Books!!!! My husband runs a small business (tree service) and I do his payroll and all of his accounting on Quick Books 2000 Pro. It works great! Well, starting in April, 2004 Quick Books will no longer offer payroll updates, tax updates or payroll support for anything other than Quick Books Pro 2004. Had to buy it and transfer everything over. What a pain in my butt!!! Bastards!! Have a Merry Christmas!
Okay it is there today. Yesterday on my pc it wasnt i swear lol
