I don’t think the butt-sniffing is at ALL cute. I think it’s gross and WHY THE HELL do they do it??? My two do it all the time and I just grab something to throw at them. Hate it I say!
I can’t get past the fact that your cats are practically stepping in an open contact lens case! I don’t let the cat on the counter at all (you know I’m a cat hater from way back, right? don’t hate me too much — I can’t help myself), so seeing them crawling all over your stuff is making me anxious. I need medication! *deep breaths*

Bonnie – yeah, I’m not fond of it, either. I usually yell and swat at them when they start with it.
Kym – usually they get tossed on the floor when they get up on the counter and aren’t allowed to wander about like that. 🙂
My cats don’t use contractions. I notice yours don’t either. We have discovered the secret cat language! “I will now sniff your ass. You will not stop me.”
Those were GREAT!! Maybe because Bean has that “shortcoming” with his tail just gives the other cats easier access? I know dogs do this like crazy I guess cats can too?

Is he still too young to have been neutered? That could be it if he’s starting to, er, develop — that would probably be pretty fascinating to the other kitties.

Your kitties are ALL SO CUTE!!! I want another baby (which translates into “kitten” in the mind of someone who doesn’t want actual human babies). I love when you do a mostly- or all-cat pic entry. Especially when they’re made into a story.
We don’t let our kitties on counters either, but Snoopy gets in the bathroom sink–it’s a pedestal sink so there is no counter–and becomes fascinated with the drain.
I love the kitties. I love the Bean bc he reminds me of my Chloe. Hanna, the older kitty, is always sniffing Chloe’s butt too. If she sees an opportunity, she runs over stealthily, then goes into butt sniffing heaven. Weirdo kitties.
