Welcome to Kitteh Video Saturday! (I decided that I’m going to post every day in the month of December – weekend posts will be pretty light and will likely be either videos or some pictures.)

This video was shot in the middle of November, before the Peppers Gang went off to Petsmart. Snackin’ Time had become this whole PROCESS, which you’ll see in the video. It’s longer than the videos I usually post, but I didn’t want you to miss a single scintillating moment of Snackin’ Time!

  1. Love that we’ll have you on the weekends for a while!

Two things: the big cats are so quiet while you’re fixing their snacks. My one starts yelling the minute you start to fix her something and doesn’t stop until she starts eating. And, 2) they’re such neat eaters! We have to put a paper towel or something under the plate or bowl and she still manages to fling food onto the floor. Doesn’t matter if it’s a bowl or a flat plate–food everywhere.

    1. They really are surprisingly neat eaters. Though it helps when there are little ones involved – if bits of food end up on the floor, the little ones come along and clean them up. 🙂

  2. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! My fave part is that they all know whose snack is whose…the big Peppers knew to follow you upstairs, the little Peppers followed you into the guest bedroom…and the big cats all waited their turn! I didn’t see one cat go to the wrong place for their snackins!! I was watching Stinkerbelle walk across the stove…has any of the4 cats stepped on it while it was still hot?? We have a smoothtop too and that sucker stays hot forever! I am so glad for the Kitteh Saturdays!!!

    1. We keep a small pot of water on the stove, and when there’s a hot eye that we just finished using, we slide the pot of water over onto the hot eye so the cats can’t step on it. It works amazingly well – and when the water cools down, the cats like to drink out of it. 🙂

      1. I saw the pot there too…I have my teapot on my stove filled with water all the time and do the same thing to cover the hot burner. I don’t have cats, but I have been known to sit things on the stovetop so I learned. We also have a red light that stays lit when you turn on the stovetop and it stays lit until the stovetop is cooled down. Made me nuts after we moved in and started using the stove…I kept thinking it was still on and was always checking the knobs…then I figured it out!

  3. I’ll chime in with the kitteh video love. I’m with Maxie-my cats throw food all over, no matter what I put it in. I was wondering if yours would make a mess of the kitchen rug, but it didn’t look like it. It is funny, every time I hear your voice on a video, it startles me-you sound almost exactly like one of my sisters. I love your kitchen, especially the wood floor.

    1. I forgot about that, thanks for the reminder, Kristen! I actually have that page hanging on the fridge, but I forgot it was for today’s date. 🙂
