(Direct link here.) Fred feels it vitally important that I inform y’all that he doesn’t usually sound like that. Because otherwise I’m sure you’d all think that he runs around screaming things in that same high-pitched voice all the time. I think my favorite part of the video is at the end when the boys are eating and Miz Poo is so intent on getting a snootful of Booger ass that she is uninterested in Snack Time.

I made this for my sister for Christmas (it’s safe to post the picture now, ’cause I know she’s already opened her present; they did their Christmas celebrating last Saturday, because they’re going to be in Pigeon Forge as of this upcoming Saturday). I got the cross stitch kit from Subversive Cross Stitch which – I’m sure I’ve mentioned – absolutely rocks. I got the picture frame from PictureFrames.com, and put the whole shebang together my own self. Debbie apparently liked the picture a LOT, which I knew she would. She’s the easiest person on earth to buy for.

Yesterday I was listening to Keith and the Girl while I was on my way to Smallville (I forgot to turn the heat down before we left on Sunday, so I needed to go do that, since we’re not even living there yet, so don’t necessarily need to see monster-sized electricity bills on TWO houses this month, thanks), and Chemda (ie, “The Girl”) referred to Andy Rooney as “Eyebrows McGee”, and I laughed so hard I almost drove off the road. Sunday I was listening to them while I was painting, and Chemda was announcing winner of that day’s Keith and the Girl Nano iPod, and the winner’s name was Ross something or other, and I heard “Ro-“, and I almost fell over with a heart attack from the excitement, so sure was I that I was about to hear the rest of my name. I really want me one of those damn KATG Nanos.

We let the kittens out to run around the house for a few hours last night. It went surprisingly better than I expected. The only big cat who had a real issue with the little monsters running around was Mister Boogers, who showed his butt as usual, but the rest of the cats just kind of sat and looked at the kittens and occasionally hissed if they got too close. Kringle is just a wild little thing who will run back and forth, back and forth, back and forth until he drops into a heap of exhaustion.   5. Noelle looks a little like a racoon in that 2nd picture. That was a cute video.If the cat in the video had climbed a little farther up Freds’ leg Fred may have been stuck with that voice permantly.Merry Christmas you guys.

  6. MAN Kringle is fluffy! haha. And doubles in size when he puffs up.
    Pickle just watched the snack video with me. Very interested, he was. You can tell Sugar is still half-asleep. haha.

  7. Love the snack video. When we feed ours in the morning, we always call out “girls” in the same type of high pitched voice. They come running!

  9. That was a cute video, you guys need to do more of those. The comment about Fred wanted you to let us know he doesn’t sound like that all the time really made me laugh out loud!

  11. That was funny. Molly loves milk, all I have to do is take a box of cereal off the fridge and she comes running because she knows that means she’ll get to lick a bowl. I don’t have to say anything to any of the cats, haha, they know their cues, haha.

  12. Katrina: I kind of was blocking his way, but not to the snax. First Fred calls “Who wants a snaaack?”, and all the cats run to him and mill about, then follow him to the kitchen where they mill about some more. Spot was trying to get to Fred to do the required milling, but I was kind of in the way. All was good, though – he just jumped over me.
    Amy: Spanky likes to bat cleanup – the other cats eat what they want, then Spanky comes along and licks the plate clean. That way he doesn’t have to fight for access to the plate.

  13. I forgot to mention. Yesterday when I opened my card from you, my 10 year old daughter was reading it and she said, “Who’s this from?” and I told her, “You know… the lady with all the cats. I read her page all the time.” and she said, “The bitchypoo lady?”. I was laughing so hard. Made my day. Thanks again!

  14. Loved the video…and your Christmas card. My kids thought Boogers was Santa’s cat, and when I told them he wasn’t, they took turns making up stories about him. I was wondering if he is one of those cats who will put up with being patted by a stranger with complete disgust, then wash himself all over when that person was done 🙂

  15. Ginny: Hee! Too cute! I think I need a t-shirt that says “The Bitchypoo Lady.” heh.
    Nellymom: Da Boog might put up with being patted by a stranger, then spend hours cleaning himself afterwards, except that he is TERRIFIED by strangers (SUCH a badass, our Boog) and tends to hide from them so they never get a chance to pet him.

  17. Good to hear that Spanky get some snax, too! I was worried about him when I didn’t see him there. I have a soft spot for him, since my first two kitties (now deceased) were orange, and I currently have an orange and white cat, Buddy Squeak, who could be Spanky’s twin brother. Spanky’s my boy!

  21. Oops! It’s not Newt, it’s Kringle who is the awesome dancer. Too many orange kitties running around I guess. (Not that there can be too many orange kitties!).
